The app is the easy part

Building a mobile app is a solved problem. Keeping one alive is not. Two operating systems deprecate things every year, two review processes can reject you for reasons nobody predicted, and every release is permanent in a way a website never is — you cannot hotfix an app somebody has not updated.

So we plan for the second year at the start: remote configuration so behaviour can change without a release, forced-update handling for the day you need it, and a back end that can serve three app versions at once because your users will be running three app versions at once.

Native, hybrid, or a very good web app

Native gives you the best performance and full device access. Hybrid gives you one codebase and faster iteration. A progressive web app skips the stores entirely. We pick by what your app has to do — camera, background location and offline sync push toward native; a content or transactional app rarely needs it.

Questions

Before you
commit.

How long does an app take?
A focused first version is usually eight to fourteen weeks including back end and store submission. Anything promising four weeks is quoting the interface and hoping you do not notice the rest.
Do you handle the App Store and Play Store accounts?
We set them up in your name and walk the submission through. The accounts stay yours — you should never be locked out of your own listing.
What about updates after launch?
Care plans cover OS updates, dependency maintenance, crash triage and a pool of enhancement hours. Mobile is the one platform where skipping maintenance eventually breaks the app outright.
Can you take over an existing app?
Yes, after a short paid audit. We look at build reproducibility first — if we cannot build it from a clean checkout, that is problem number one.
