Service 01 — Software development

Custom software,
shaped to
your process.

Consumer oriented, enterprise oriented, vertical or horizontal — it does not matter. We build desktop-class software around the way your business already works instead of forcing you into somebody else's product.

What is included

  • Discovery that maps the real process
  • An architecture you can afford in year three
  • Working software every milestone
  • A tested release, not a hopeful one
  • Deployment on your terms
  • Documentation and a handover

When off-the-shelf stops fitting

Most companies do not start out wanting custom software. They start out with a spreadsheet, then a SaaS subscription, then three SaaS subscriptions and a person whose actual job is copying data between them. Custom software becomes the cheaper option at the point where the workarounds cost more than the build.

We look for that line honestly. If a product on the market does eighty percent of what you need and you can live with the other twenty, we will tell you to buy it. When we do build, it is because the process you run is the thing that makes you money and bending it to fit a generic tool would cost you more than the licence saves.

Consumer, enterprise, vertical, horizontal

Consumer software has to be obvious in eight seconds. Enterprise software has to survive an audit and a staff turnover. Vertical software has to speak your industry's vocabulary exactly. Horizontal software has to be flexible enough for a dozen different teams. We have shipped all four, and the differences show up in the architecture long before they show up in the interface.

Deliverables

What you
actually get.

01

Discovery that maps the real process

We watch how the work is actually done, not how the org chart says it is. The gap between the two is where most software projects die.

02

An architecture you can afford in year three

Data model, service boundaries and integration points, chosen so the cheap decision now is not the expensive one later.

03

Working software every milestone

On a URL you can open, with your stakeholders in the review. Not a status percentage in a spreadsheet.

04

A tested release, not a hopeful one

Automated suites and scenario coverage gate every release. QA is part of the price, never an upsell.

05

Deployment on your terms

Your cloud, our cloud, your own servers or classic shared hosting. We build for the environment you actually have.

06

Documentation and a handover

Architecture notes, runbooks, credentials and a recorded walkthrough, so you can take it in-house whenever you want.

Questions

Before you
commit.

Do we own the source code?
Yes, in full, on final payment — plus credentials, documentation and a recorded walkthrough. We keep no licence over your product.
Can you extend software we already have?
Usually. We start with a short paid audit and tell you honestly whether it should be extended or replaced. We only say replace when we can show you the arithmetic.
What if our requirements change halfway?
They will. We re-scope between milestones, price the change, and you approve it before anything moves.
Will we be locked into you?
No. The handover exists precisely so you are not. Several clients run their own systems now and call us for the big pieces.

Ignition

Need software development?

Tell us the problem, the users and the systems already in place. We will identify the right discovery or build step.
